Richard Harris Intern Coordinator
Richard was born and raised bilingually in Brussels by an American father and a Belgian mother. After attending boarding school in New England and college at Columbia University, Richard lived in and around New York City and in Southern California, first as Program Director for WBAI-FM and then as Writer/Producer for CBS-TV (Network) and KABC-TV (Los Angeles). He is a CLIO recipient and National Radio Award Finalist. Concurrent with his time in broadcasting, he was a principal in Harris & Tangalakis, a hand-painted fabric design and production company specializing in the hospitality trade. H&T won Best Showroom Design (Small Showrooms) at the Pacific Design Center (Los Angeles) and Best Showroom Design at the San Diego Design Center. Subsequently he was a chef, in gastropub, barbeque and other cuisines, including his own restaurant where he presented what he called the ABC's of cuisine: American, Belgian and Cuban. He moved back to Brussels five years ago. Currently he is writing a series of children's books (Thirteen Elephants) and is looking for a publisher.
